Japan earthquake

Still with the Royal wedding in background, one of the first works that I did was a timeline of the first week of the Japan earthquake. It was an infographic for the iPad made in SVG and SMIL. There’s always things to learn when you do graphics. With this one I learn that fat fingers can’t see all the information.

This graphic is included in the breaking news category. Was published in a special edition for the iPad at 13h00. It was made in 2 hours with SVG and SMIL. It reveals the importance of having libraries. You can’t design the world in that time. Of course that it’s possible to find something vectorial online. Even free. But that’s part of having a library, too 🙂 I think I can show how it works: http://mariocameira.com/info/working/japan1/
